Raising food awareness and money for local children and families in need:
 
  • BGCNW Third Meal Program – Weekday Dinners at the Club – matching funds available
  • Thanksgiving Dinners for local families in need - 300 last year
  • BGCNW Kids Café – kitchen equipment
Tastes of Northern Westchester will be held at the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester. Throughout the evening, some of the area’s finest restaurants will present samplings of their delectable specialties, offering friends and neighbors the opportunity to help worthwhile charities while enjoying some of the finest cuisine Northern Westchester has to offer.
 
 
The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester, established in 1939, is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving youth, ages 6 months to 18 years, from more than 60 communities in Northern Westchester. Its 36,000 square-foot facility in Mount Kisco, NY, features an 8-lane pool, Child Care Center, gymnasium, games room, computer labs and an additional 1,600 square-foot Teen Center facility, all of which located on a 12-acre property that also includes playing fields, two playgrounds, nature trails and community and children’s gardens. It has been ranked among the outstanding Clubs in the national network of Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
 
The Club's mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
 
The event focus is on raising food awareness in our community and will raise money for the BGCNW Third Meal Program which provides dinner to 50 children in need daily as well as weekend wholesome food packages. There will also be a paddle raise at the event to subsidize annual Thanksgiving dinner grocery bags with local families.
